Michel Petit was born on February 12, 1964 in St. Malo, Quebec. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the first round, #11 overall
in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. In his NHL career, Petit played for 10 different teams - a record he shares with J.J. Daigneault. The
defenseman played in 827 games, scoring 90 goals, 238 assists for 328 points while racking up 1839 penalty minutes.
